Twas the Night edition by Sandra Hill Trish Jensen Kate Holmes Literature Fiction eBooks
Twas the Night was written by 3 different writers, each writing as the "person" of one of the 3 main characters. The writing style was seamless, and unless you knew this part of the book, you'd never have known it was penned by 3 different voices. Each picked up right where the other left off; no one missed something the other had said, or meant, or anything that would give you pause to wonder what was going on.
The storyline is great, it's a really feel good story about the Christmas spirit, the kindness of others, love and generosity. There were several laugh out loud, touching moments that made me really glad I took the time to read the book. With Christmas so close at hand, this was the perfect time to read the book, as it reminds you what Christmas is really all about, with some fun, and love mixed into the equation.
Take the time to read this book; I think you'll be glad you did. I could hardly put it down and enjoyed every page of it. I'm going to look into other books by the individual authors and hopefully, they'll prove to be as good as this combined work was. Thank you for reading my review.

Twas the Night edition by Sandra Hill Trish Jensen Kate Holmes Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This was a fun, light read for Christmas but I can't really recommend it. Story was OK and had potential but the authors spoiled it with too much graphic sex, turning it into a trashy novel. Leave something to the reader's imagination.
I found the plot too predictable and no real surprises here. The three authors did a good job with their characters in each chapter, but overall a pretty mediocre novel. I got it for free early on so can't complain much, but I wouldn't pay the current asking price of $7.99 for . Not worth it.
This book pulled me out of the reading funk I was in. It was a delightful read. It is a light hearted Christmas romance story about three couples. It is a new kind of anthology by 3 writers (each writing one of the couples) that reads like a novel with all three couples interacting. The writing was excellent and you couldn't tell when the authors shifted. It was a light, fun, sexy read. Light meaning no action plot, but plenty of sexual innuendo that avoided the pitfall of having the romance based on multiple times having sex. This was more of an old fashioned romance and was an absolute delight to read.
I have never read anything like this before. I don't mean the storyline itself, although that was GREAT..but the idea of three different authors coming together to create one fantastic book. It was difficult to see where one left off and the other picks up. So smooth was the reading that out was as if only one author did the writing. Same humor, same style of romance and a really great heart warming story. Not just a holiday reading. Yes! Christmas in July..
When I first started reading this story, I wasn't so sure I would enjoy reading three story lines alternating in one book. It seemed like it might be hard to follow along. Boy was I wrong. All three of these authors did a great job of writing a story that flowed so well, you almost couldn't tell that it was written by three authors separately.
Three guys (Stan, Sam, and J.D.) are going back to their home town for their mentor's wedding on Christmas Eve. Through a series of complications and a snow storm, they are forced to join the Santa Brigade Bus from their home town (in Maine) on several days of stops along the eastern sea-board at homeless shelters giving out gifts and holiday cheer. The story is full of humor and romances that develop for these three guys. It takes their tragic history of having been orphans and turns it into something that has made them stronger for it. The women they meet up with on this trip are strong women that don't always see themselves in the most accurate light, but aren't afraid to go after what they want.
The elderly Santas made up some the most humorous parts of this story (as a whole) and definitely made reading it more fun. I hope I have as much spunk as they have at their age. If you are looking for a great Christmas romance, that leaves you feeling like anything is possible and that you need to do more for others too, this one is for you. I would love to read another anthology by these three authors, especially if it was written as well as this one in terms of flow and consistency.
And Spicy?? (and I'm not talking the holiday eggnog either)
The plot is pretty much as outlined in the blurb---basically three guys who are trying to get home for the Christmas Eve wedding of their mentor, and along the way meet the gals that they didn't even know they were ready for.
Some serious themes along the way such as homelessness, impending loss and domestic abuse..but with a message of hope for the future and even redemption--quite fitting for the holiday season!
Lest you think this is too serious, do not be alarmed. Yes, some serious themes, but the overriding tone is light and the supporting characters are fleshed out and often quite hysterical!
The ending is a little predictable and pat, but really was appropriate for the story. Easy reading for a nice holiday story, with SPICE. Might be a little more heavy on the 'hot' end of the scale for some... R rated I suppose.
Recommended!

I am not going to reiterate the story . . . that has been done in some of the other reviews. This book is more than worth the price. I have read about fifteen other holiday books during this year's Holiday season and it was by far my favorite. The character building was wonderful. I loved the way this anthology was written, a much different approach than any other anthology I have ever read and it really worked for me, I thought it made the story flow very smoothly. It has everything that is important to me in this kind of feel-good holiday book sweet-sweet romance, great laughable humor throughout, all loveable characters that have traits we admire in others. What more could a reader want?
It entertained me throughout, made me think, made me laugh, made me cry tears of joy, and greatly moved me. Knowing what I know about "Twas the Night" I will be re-reading this book every Thanksgiving weekend because it truly touched me in many ways.
